Take a guided tour through the Interknit Branberry factory and watch the process starting with spun yarn through to finished jumper.
Watch the machinery in action from the latest computerised technology through to the old punch card pattern machines still in operation.
Meet the team behind the scenes as they knit, cut, sew, link, press and pack.
Factory tours are available by prior arrangment for groups of adults from six up to fifteen people.
Tours only operate on weekdays before 3pm and last around 45 minutes including question and answer time.
As at 2023, the factory tours operate free of charge. To enquire about booking a tour for your group, please email us.
Tours are (generally) not suitable for school aged children under 15 years, however suitably supervised children are allowed.
We are an operational factory so enclosed footwear MUST be worn, there are no exceptions to this rule. If you do not have footwear covering your toes and heels, you will be asked to remain in the shop for the duration of the tour.
Children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult on a 1:1 ratio and the adult is responsible for ensuring the children stay with the group and do not touch any machinery.
The factory (and shop) floor are flat surfaces and can accommodate strollers; prams; walkers and wheelchairs. There are no disabled toilets or change room facilities on site. There are toilets available for customer use.
