This beanie has a fold that can be worn up for snug to scalp fit or down for a slouch fit to accommodate extra hair. Every beanie comes with a pure merino wool pom pom which can be detached without destroying the knit of the beanie (according to personal pom pom preference).

Our garments are proudly designed and made in Ballarat, Victoria. The Elsa scarf and beanie are sold under our Branberry brand and made in our Interknit factory. These items are knit from Australian sourced materials and hand finished by our talented sewing machinists. Merino scarves and beanies are an excellent choice for overseas gifting as they’re lightweight and easily packaged.

Did you know, by age 2, your head circumference is usually close to half of its adult size?

It typically reaches about 80-90% of adult head size by the age of 2. From age 2 onwards, head growth continues at a more gradual pace, eventually reaching full adult head size around the age of 16.

The rate of growth may vary from child to child which is why our youth sized beanies are perfect for children aged 2+ but can still fit some adults.

As a general idea – if your child can fit a bicycle helmet/school hat that says it’s at least 50cm, they will be ready to wear a youth sized beanie instead of a toddler beanie.
